I had this high quality 6.5mm near colorless (GH) moissanite stone custom made into a classic style necklace using SOLID 14K white gold. The necklace is in great condition. I rarely wore it.
The necklace weighs approximately 3.1 grams and the metal is 14K solid white gold :).
The moissanite is a 1 carat DEW (diamond equivalent weight); it's 9.25 on the Mohs scale and cut to mirror a diamond round brilliant.
I think it is VERY hard to distinguish this gem from a one carat round brilliant diamond and it's far lower in cost than a diamond.
It's mounted in a 4 prong 14K SOLID WG basket and the chain is also solid 14K white gold.
The necklace is approximately 16 inches long.
