Made in the USA The Larson Electronics MMLP-150LED-RT-12P 150 Watt Temporary Manhole Mount LED Light Fixture provides operators with a powerful and highly convenient alternative to traditional string or tank lights. Cree LED technology, an innovative 21" man-way support bracket, and compact design, makes this lamp an excellent lighting solution for operators working within storage tanks, rail-cars, and other locations where entry is through a 21" man-hole opening. This Class 1, Divisions 1 & 2 and Class 2, Divisions 1 & 2 tank nozzle mount explosion proof light fixture provides 17,500 lumens of high quality light while drawing only 150 watts. The copper free aluminum alloy body is powder coated for added durability and an attractive aesthetic appearance. A special heat dissipating design in conjunction with advanced LED technology helps this fixture to achieve an excellent 60,000 hour rated lifespan with 80% lumen retention. This explosion proof LED light is attached to a 21 inch supporting plate which allows the light fixture to hang down 12" inside the tank or railcar while the supporting plate rests on the lip of a man-way opening.

This mounting system provides an extremely versatile lighting option for those working in confined spaces such as rail cars, storage tanks, ship tanks and the like where entry is through a 21" man-way opening. The light is suspended 12" from the lip to lower the light source into the tank. The explosion proof LED light fixture features multiple LED drivers which helps to increase the operational life of the fixture. With traditional LED lights, in the event an LED array or driver fails, the entire fixture no longer illuminates. This new series of LED lamps contains twelve individual LED boards configured in a series of banks. Each bank contains two LED boards with an individual driver. In the event of a driver failure, only one bank of LEDs will be effected while the other banks will continue to operate. In the event that of an LED failure, the mating LED will continue to operate. Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional lighting. This light is universal voltage capable and can be operated with 100-277 VAC, 50/60Hz. We also offer a low voltage version of this LED fixture that operates on AC/DC voltages from 11-25 Volts. This explosion proof LED light fixture is IP67 rated, dust-proof, and protected against high pressure jets and temporary submersion. The cast aluminum body and LED lamp give this light excellent durability and resistance to vibration and impacts. The housing is specially designed to dissipate heat which increases the efficiency and lifespan of the LEDs and electronics.
The above images shows the MMLP-150LED-RT-12P with 60° beam spread illuminating an 80` OD tank. The fixture is mounted in in the center at the top of the 60` tall tank. This nozzle mount LED fixture provides an averaged 30 lux at the tank floor.
This LED light produces 17,500 lumens with a color temperature of 5000K, 4000K, or 3000K and a color rendering index of 75 which produces colors and details much more accurately than high pressure sodium or mercury vapor luminaries. The MMLP-150LED-RT-12P offers excellent convenience and effectiveness with a 21" manhole mounting support bracket that eliminates the need for special mounting fixtures or cumbersome string light systems.
