2001 Upper Deck Ichiro RC

This is a rookie card of Ichiro Suzuki, who made a sensational MLB debut, winning six titles simultaneously in his debut year: AL Rookie of the Year, batting champion with the most hits by a rookie in the AL, stolen base leader, Silver Slugger Award, Gold Glove Award, and season MVP. He then went on to achieve numerous records, including being the only player in MLB history to hit 200 or more hits for 10 consecutive years, the MLB season record for most hits (262 hits), and a Guinness World Record of 4,367 total hits in both Japanese and American professional baseball (first team & major leagues). He also hit a walk-off hit to win the WBC for Samurai Japan, and is a memorable and great player. He is the first Japanese MLB player to be inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame.

This is Ichiro's rookie card from his first year in MLB, an RC included in the 2001 Upper Deck set.

There were nearly 300 different cards in the set, making it difficult to pull this one.

There are no noticeable initial scratches on the four corners or edges. It has been carefully stored in a dark place with a desiccant, without being displayed or carried in an album, so there is no deterioration such as yellowing, fading, or sun damage. It is in relatively good condition for its age, but there is some peeling on the foil stamping due to aging.

A magnetic holder that protects the four corners is also included.

It is stored in a zippered vinyl bag.
It will be wrapped in bubble wrap for shipping.
