The American Crew Menswork 6.5” Shear helps to increase the pace of your work, cut smoother tapers and eliminate weight lines and lines of demarcation.
It has a slightly offset thumb and an optional tang for the little finger to assist with the tension in holding this tool. Menswork finds the 6 to 7 inch length shear to be essential in working with tall vertical sections and shear-over-comb in panels. The long shear allows for straighter cutting lines when working with vertical sections. Using the correct combing and hand position techniques secures the hair allowing you to cut farther along that section. It is essential to have control of the section with your combing before you begin to cut. The long shear will also minimize the tendency to lose your proper position.
