This stunning two-tone, carved mother of pearl (abalone) cameo set was made in Italy in the early 1900s and includes a bracelet, ring (size 8.5-9), single earring screw (can be a small pendant), and 3-panel necklace pendant. The oval, raised panels in each piece are bezel-set in 800 silver with brass twist accents, depicting Roman gods and goddesses.
The bracelet's 7 panels represent 7 carvings by artist Rafael that were destroyed but were recorded in drawings and became a popular theme in cameos by Edwardian Italian jewelers. Diana, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, and Apollo represent Monday through Sunday. It has a hidden box clasp.
The ring, single earring screw, and 3-panel pendant show the 3 Graces dancing beneath a canopy of flowers.
Minor signs of age. The ring has some tarnish on the bottom of the band. The earring has a small flaw on one side. Please see photos for condition.
