Barbie #975 Winter Holiday Complete

I am offering a complete set of the vintage Barbie outfit " Winter Holiday," which was sold from 1959 to 1963.

This is a classic casual outfit for the early Barbie dolls.
The fabrics are all crisp and in beautiful condition, with almost no signs of play.

There are a few black spots on the surface of the white faux leather jacket, and some ink stains, possibly from a ballpoint pen, on the inside of the jacket's belt (see images; they are not visible when the jacket is worn). However, considering that it was made over 60 years ago, I think it is in very good condition.
While modern faux leather doll clothes crack within a few years, this Barbie jacket, which is over 60 years old, still maintains its quality, although the fabric is a bit stiff due to its nature. This shows the quality of the materials chosen.

The Barbie outfits of this era were all made by Japanese seamstresses, and the quality is superb, even in the stitching, making them seem like works of art.

The parka, tights, and bag all use YKK zippers, which Japan is proud of.
The parka has a zipper running from the hood to the back, a unique structure for doll clothes.
I think it's an interesting idea born from the trial and error of the early days of fashion dolls.

The checkered vinyl bag is also made with the same construction as those for humans, and it is a stylish and cute item.
The cork-soled sandals and vinyl gloves are also accessories that show the developer's ideas (however, the gloves have hardened over time).

From every detail of the clothes and accessories, you can feel the dedication to making doll clothes realistic and easy to dress.
They are comparable to modern high-quality doll clothes.
