Captain Marvel vol 1 # 1 Marvel Comics 1968

Only piece of pre-70’s “deep vintage” Marvel I’ve owned in a long time. Probably only one of a few dozen issues I own that are older than I am! I deluded myself for decades that Mar-Vell was more than a dead c-lister. :) Genis came along in the ‘90’s, written masterfully by the late Peter David (R.I.P.) to thankfully at least partially justify my unqualified reverence for Cap’n Marvel. (Carol’s awesome, but I dug her more as “Warbird.”) Anyway, this is kinda a beater copy, snatched from a wicker basket in a septuagenarian antique store in the early ‘90’s. Lots of edge and spine wear and some creases, all pretty visible in the pics. Still serves as a pretty awesome display piece, as it functioned on the closet door of my childhood room for 9 years or so. Questions/offers/bundle requests 100% welcome, ALWAYS!
