The innovative design combines components together into a single assembly allowing it to be easily installed and ensures even pressure is placed on the CPU without violating the maximum pressure specified by CPU manufacturers. Attention has been given to the smallest details such as the tool run-off protection that prevents accidental screwdriver slippage from creating havoc on expensive motherboard components. This retention mechanism kit includes a LGA-1156 backplate and top plate with spring loaded screws fixed to the top plate. This kit can be used with Domino ALC, Freezone Elite, Boreas and Pure equipped with low-profile skive CPU block.
