First edition, first printing hardcover copy of Danse Macabre by Stephen King (Everest House, 1981). A unique King book, a non-fiction look into all sorts of horror genre media, including films and books. With illustrations and stills from the films referenced. Heavily worn jacket now protected in new archival sleeve. Front liner flap missing, torn off at fore edge. Moderate chipping, creases and small tears around the edges. Boards straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding is firm and spine is fairly straight. A few pages have some subtle ink staining to fore edges, caused by an error in production. Otherwise pages are clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
