Yes it works. And yes I didn’t buy this anywhere on thriftstores or online. I grew up in the philippines and I used this when I was in highschool.
I tested this recently (please see the photos for reference
‼️ (Latch of battery cover is broken)
It works well the only PROBLEM is the battery cover latch. While there is a hook to keep it shut, it is broken. When you insert the batteries and close the cover, you need to use tape to keep it securely closed.
