This hazardous area Cree LED light comes attached to an aluminum rail/ladder mount bracket constructed from non-sparking aluminum that allows operators to easily mount this unit to ladders, handrails, catwalks and other similar structures. The EPL-JH16C-150LED-RT-140DB-100 explosion proof LED light provides 9,500 square feet of work area coverage with 21,000Â lumens of light output. This portable LED light has an adjustable 150 watt LED light head and an aluminum rail/ladder bracket that can be adjusted from 26 inches to 43 inches to allow mounting to a wide variety of railings, scaffoldings or ladders. Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional lighting.
This portable LED light is comprised of a 16" by 14" LED light head mounted to an aluminum bracket with an adjustable J-shaped top and bottom hooks that enables operators to securely mount the light to any ladder or scaffolding. Lamp adjustment is via an adjustable yolk that allows the operator to position the lamp angle through a full 90 degrees of vertical adjustment. All hardware on this unit is non sparking/corrosion resistant and the power cord is chemicals and abrasion resistant. Included with this LED lighting system is 100 feet of SOOW cord terminating in an explosion proof plug, which combined with the full adjustability offered by the LED light head and mounting system provides an effective alternative to often cumbersome explosion proof string lights.
