See this Antique Sterling Silver Bracelet? It's not silver, it's silver over brass.
I already purchased it from the current seller selling it and returned it since it is not made out of silver of any kind.
After noticing it was not marked 925 or sterling (or ster or any marking) and did not pass an acid purity test. The item also is broken on one of the panels.
You can see in the pictures of the scratches on the testing block, the right side is the bracelet. Notice the scratches with a gold tone from the brass, not a good sign. The right side did not turn blue as the left side did that is actually sterling silver (used 18kt acid test, turns blue for silver)
I requested a return in which Mercari approved right away. The seller threatened to take me to small claims court for scratching his bracelet that he insists is Sterling. I ignored his stupidity and returned the item. He immediately reposted this bracelet as an antique sterling bracelet for 32.00.
