This stunning hand painted plate is signed Agustin Vargas and marked as being created in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. The piece depicts a bouquet of white calla lilies against a cobalt background. The vividness of the colors is difficult to convey by photo. The plate is premade with an eye for hanging. The plate measures 12" in diameter and is made from a substantially thick clay. There are a couple of very minor flea bites (see photos for detail), but the plate is in otherwise fantastic condition. This is a truly beautiful decorative art plate.
