On offer is Lise Coutin's Grand Carrosse Pour Un Ambassadeur. First issued in 1961 as a 90cm and again as a 70 cm in 2007, this scarf depicts the rear side of a carriage fit for royalty. This particular shawl hails from 2015, the year it was reissued in the grand model format. With a blend of 65% cashmere and 35% silk (photo eight shows that the tag is still attached) this stunning piece is soft and luxurious. Page 115 of Carré d'Art IV rates it with a rarity and interest index of two (photo 10). It's been recently laundered and not worn since, so it will be ready for its new home.
