Beautiful, well made Horrocks rolltop (C) desk - solid hard wood kteak or mahogany, I'm not sure which), brass finishes, dovetail drawer. 66" wide, 44" high x 37 deep. comes apart in 3 pieces.
Full file cabinet drawers. Lots of nooks and crannies. locks. Original perpetual calendar.
Great shape for its age... built probably in early part of 1900's. Horrocks, in Northern NY State (Herkimer, NY) made virtually all government rolltop desks from late 1800's thru around 1960. Not many are left like this one, though.
Worth thousands, I challenge you to find another of this size and quality for less than $5k.
We are retired and downsizing. our kids live on West Coast, so the desk needs a new home.
