This is volume one of William Manchester's fantastic 3 volume biography of one of the 20th century's most famous historic figures. Winston Churchill, the British Prime Minister during World War 2 and one of the heroes of the war. In this book, Manchester looks at the early years of Churchill's life from his birth to his first posting overseas with the army in South Africa. His time as first sea lord during the First World War and the beginning of of the build up to the 2nd World War. The book is in very good condition. The spine is tight and the cover is clean with very minimal scuffing. The pages are clean and sharp. The unclipped dust jacket has very minor chipping and is in very good condition. See photos.
