A beautiful set of five vintage small wooden plates (meimei-zara, cake dishes) made in the Sanuki lacquerware tradition from Kagawa, Japan. Each plate is hand-carved from natural wood and decorated with a different vegetable motif, a style seen in Kagawa and nearby Okayama (Ujo-bori). The wood grain, urushi finish, and simple everyday motifs give the piece a warm, familiar look.

- Size: Approx. 5.3 in diameter × 0.5 in tall
- Material: Natural wood with urushi lacquer finish
- Estimated era: 1970s–1980s, based on a matching signed example in a box with manufacturing details
- Condition: Like New, seems unused

These plates were long-term storage items and were carefully kept at my grandmother’s place, wrapped with padding to prevent scratches.
