This mini lidded Nantucket basket also known as friendship basket are made by sailors during long sea voyages aboard from Nantucket Island during 19th century.
Hand made and signed by Scrimshaw Artist Linda Layden.
Basket has a wooden base and tightly woven rattan body. It features Nantucket Island using traditional weaving techniques by artisan craftsman.
4 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide
