Beautiful Moroccan trinket box constructed of brass and inlaid with sections or natural and dyed bone (possibly camel?) and some sort of gemstone (jasper?). The lid of this charming box swings upward on two hinges when the front tab is lifted, to reveal slightly worn black velvet. The bottom appears to be a solid sheet of brass, resting on four round bone feet. The portions of bone are held within unpolished brass with beautiful strands of twisted metal.
This box, which measures 8" wide by 5" deep by 3.5" high, would grace any table or dresser, and be the repository of many personal treasures.
