This is a small tea cup, diameter of the top opening is about 6.8 centimeters/2.7 inches, height is about 5 centimeters/ 2 inches. It was made by a contemporary Chinese couple of artisans; the wife hand painted the lotus flower theme and the husband made the ceramic.
The white glazing is called “moon white”, derived from using plant ashes, not chemically derived. This glazing shows “pores”, not the kind of smooth porcelain China glazing. It is 100% natural and safe. The volume of tea it can hold is around 100 milliliter. They have their own studio and design their original styles of Chinese ceramic wares.
Brand new and never used.
