Signed with drawing first edition (print number not stated) oversized hardcover copy of Sundancing at Rosebud & Pine Ridge by Thomas E. Mails (The Center for Western Studies at Augustana College, 1978). Signed, with inscription and drawing by Mails on front endpaper. Vintage book on the religious and cultural ceremonies and rites of these Indian / Native American people. Richly illustrated and with photographs. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges - including chipping, creasing and small tears. Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding is firm and spine is straight. All pages clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
