Featuring participation by Alvin Lucier, a significant contemporary composer after Cage, the catalog includes not only exhibition photos but also diagrams and valuable interviews, making it a valuable resource sought after internationally due to its bilingual (English/Japanese) format. A CD is included, allowing listeners to experience the works of each exhibiting artist. Don't miss this opportunity.

The inside front cover is made of soft cloth, and the front cover is thin paper, making it prone to dents and scratches, but there are no noticeable scratches from the inside front cover to the main text. - From the exhibition flyer -
"Sound Art" is a genre that is currently attracting attention worldwide, with many artists actively experimenting with it as a means of expression. Since the museum held the "Sound Art - The Media of Sound" exhibition in 2000, many exhibitions on the theme of "sound art" or "sound" have been held in various places.
These exhibitions include works that address hearing and perception, or that focus on the physical aspects of "sound." Despite their very restrained expressions, these works have the intensity to fully evoke our senses and imagination.
We will exhibit nine "sound spaces" by six artists and three groups of artists from Japan and abroad.
For example, works that change the state of the space by stepping into the work space and promote the self-generation of sound, works that make the space apparent or create space through sound, works that make emotions ripple through stories and scenes evoked by sound, or spectacles of sound, etc. You will be able to experience various spaces through the diverse methods of the artists.
