Beautiful vintage 1940's or 1950's narrow-width fine cotton fabric woven by the defunct Bates Mill based in Maine. This fabric is just lovely - a sky blue background showcases a delicate Asian pattern with bamboo, flowers, fans, & birds - phoenix? pheasant? bird-of-paradise? The entire bird & parts of the fans & floral elements have shimmering metallic gold highlights. The fabric is designed to look like silk, & it does a very good job. Excellent condition; some storage wrinkles.
*Please note fabric photographed outside on a cloudy day - it's a bit darker than shown in pics.
About 36-37" wide by 180" long (5 yards). I'd prefer to sell this fabric in its entirety but you're welcome to make a reasonable offer for the desired quantity & I'll consider cutting it to length.
