Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver Cobblestone Inlay Statement Ring

Gorgeous vintage Native American statement ring featuring intricate cobblestone inlay set in solid sterling silver. This is one of many pieces I’ve purchased over the years from a woman who had a huge collection of Native American jewelry. She indicated it is either Navajo and Zuni, although I can’t confirm without a hallmark. The design showcases a vibrant mosaic of turquoise, coral, mother of pearl and what I was told, tortoise shell, each hand-cut and set in a raised, textured pattern reminiscent of cobblestone streets.
The stones are arranged horizontally within a large bold oval silver bezel This style requires exceptional skill, as each piece must be precisely shaped and fitted — a hallmark of fine silversmithing from the mid to late 20th century.
