This stunning deep green silk evening gown is right out of fashion history. It is an original Stenay circa the 1980's. Made from a 100% silk chiffon layered over a matching satin crepe. The body of the dress is intricately decorated with rows of glass bugle beads in an eye catching opalescent oil slick finish. The cut of the dress is quite slinky with a v-neckline, spaghetti straps, and deep thigh slightly off center. It looks black in the pictures but it is actually a deep emerald green.
This beautiful vintage gem still has the original tags from the 1980s, where it was sold at HECHT'S. It even has a bag of replacement beads attached. There is hanger damage to the beading on the straps from being stored in a closet on a hanger for some time. There is also some loose beading on the body. This is a vintage size 12.
