The Automatic 100 was sold from 1963 to 1966
and retailed for an approximate price of
$164.95 (around $1,367.00, adjusted for inflation). It was also the first of the Polaroid cameras to utilize a new form of instant film, known as packfilm. The Automatic 100 would go on to become the basis of other packfilm cameras produced by Polaroid: the 100, 200, and 300 series, which all have similar functionality.
