Vtg Decoupage Purse

Mid-Century wooden handmade decoupage purse with apple design. Genevieve Strawn of Newport Beach, Calif., was the maker/artist of this well crafted rectangular box purse. It has a pale buttercup background with raised orange/red apples on the top and front of the purse. Other apples, branches and leaves are painted all over the purse, and also snails and bumblebees. A thin chain gold and green border outlines the the top and openings of the purse. Silver metal handle and brass dumbbell closure and ball feet. The apple design is repeated on the inside top of the purse, which is lined on the rest of the inside with white fabric with pink roses. There are a few small paint chips on the edges of the purse which is otherwise in great used condition. 10” W x 5.75” H x 4” D. Handle extends 4.25.”
