This was the type of bedpan used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It was designed to allow patients who had difficulty moving to use the toilet while in bed.
The "slipper" shape allowed it to be slid under a patient without them needing to lift their hips.
In fair vintage condition, there are parts where the enamel is chipping off
