A Vintage Burmese Folk Art Tiger Marionette / Puppet - Hand painted Clay & Silk. Strings all attached, paddle in good condition. Silk body and clay feet and head all in great condition. Measures approx. 7" long x 4" wide x 14" long when dropped down on strings from the paddle. Strings not tangled. Strings attached to head, all 4 feet and the tail. This is from the 1960s. No markings. In original box - box is in fair condition - taped. Colors are still vibrant over whole puppet.
Burmese tigers, also known as Indochinese tigers, live in the tropical and subtropical forests of Myanmar and Thailand.
