Awesome lamb head cookie jar by Metlox Poppytrail circa early mid century. All decked out for the County Fair in his baby blue bow tie and matching straw hat, this big-eyed fluff ball is anxiously waiting for you to lift off his hat and grab yourself a delicious treat.
There is supposed to be a "crier" inside the lid that is supposed to make a "bah" sound when you take the lid off. The noise maker is NOT included in this set.
Such a sweet little guy (well not so little but...sweet!) to brighten up a farmhouse kitchen, a cookie jar collection or even a baby nursery.
Impressed on the bottom "Made in
USA" and partial silver foil Metlox label is present.
It stands about 9 1/2" tall x 9" w x 10" long.
It is in excellent condition! The only spec of color missing is on the hat- please see the close up pictures.
