Gorgeous and rare, old stock specimen of fully natural pink spinel on white calcite from Pein-pyit, Pein-pyit Zone, Mandalay Division, Myanmar (Burma). The complete gemstone is clean and bright with the ideal diamond octohedral form. It’s perfected beautifully on a matrix of white calcite. This gemstone is of the isometric crystal system has a sparkling diamond octahedron crystal habit. The vibrant and rich, raspberry fuchsia pink color is from trace chromium mineral inclusions. Double terminated and crystalized all around, the spinel crystal shows gemmy translucency and an almost inner glow in the light. The fine mineral specimen makes a perfect larger thumbnail sized display and measures approximately 2.8 by 1.5cm. Includes the ID/ locale info label.
