This is a vintage Mexican sterling silver brooch, which can also be worn as a pendant, featuring an Aztec-inspired design. It is crafted from sterling silver and black onyx. The brooch has an oval shape intricate etched Sterling silver design depicting an Aztec warrior or deity figure surrounded by symbolic elements like arrows or serpents. The central figure includes details such as a feathered headdress and a belt. The onyx is oval shaped and sandwiched between the front and back silver plates giving it somewhat of a inlay effect.The marks "HECHO EN MEXICO 925 RCD" and the "bell" symbol with a "1" on the back are hallmarks on Mexican silver, providing information about the origin, silver fineness, and potentially the maker. Bell (eagle) Symbol with 1 mark is likely a reference to the earlier "eagle mark" system used from 1948 until around 1980.
